Job DescriptionWe are looking for a welcoming and organized Medical Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a healthcare facility. This is a Contract position that requires someone who can create a positive experience for patients while keeping scheduling, records, and communication flowing smoothly. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a busy medical setting and can balance administrative accuracy with attentive, compassionate service.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors warmly, providing courteous assistance and directing them appropriately upon arrival.
• Coordinate appointment calendars by booking visits, confirming schedules, and making updates as needed.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process to help maintain an efficient and positive patient flow.
• Review and maintain patient demographic and visit information in office systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Prepare, organize, and update front-desk documentation and records to support daily clinical operations.
• Handle incoming calls, messages, and correspondence, ensuring information reaches the correct staff members promptly.
• Provide administrative support to office personnel through general clerical tasks and front-office coordination.
• Keep the reception area and related workflows orderly to promote an efficient and well-organized environment.• Prior experience in a medical reception, healthcare office, or similar patient-facing administrative role is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a consistent focus on customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving medical office while managing multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and solid organizational skills for handling records, scheduling, and follow-up tasks.
• Sound judgment when working with confidential and sensitive patient information.
• Comfort using basic computer applications, office systems, and data entry tools.
• Reliability and availability to fulfill the full duration of the contract assignment.
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, or basic medical terminology is a plus.
