This is a full-time in-office position. You MUST be able to work in our White Lake, MI office.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate billing across multiple offices and providers, utilizing AthenaOne and other specialized software. Your day will include maintaining and updating patient billing records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with healthcare providers to achieve precise coding. You will also handle inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and analyze processes for potential improvements. Lastly, you will manage enrollment and credentialing tasks in addition to providing training on quality measures to ensure high standards of coding accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in primary care billing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience with AthenaOne
- Knowledge of quality measures in healthcare billing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- IT savvy and capable of troubleshooting minor tech issues
- Willing to work in person at our office in White Lake. This is not a remote position. Must live near White Lake or be willing to relocate.
