Job Summary: Sales Engineer is responsible for increasing sales of all company products and services to assigned market segments. Responsible for understanding client needs. Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned objectives, as well as tracking and forecasting business activity. Responsible for communicating client details to company departments. Responsible for overall customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and demonstrates advantages of Viper Trailers, Inc.
- Direct face-to-face contact with clients & prospective clients actively soliciting business
- Telephone and other electronic solicitations
- Understand sales guidelines - ensure that customer satisfaction objectives and company objectives are met and exceeded
- Design or reverse engineer customer projects as needed
- Draw prints using Solid Edge and AutoCAD software as requested
- Be sure all job routers are accurate & updated as needed
- Maintain accurate records of quotes / pricing with clients
- Provide direct communications with all departments as needed
- Report all sales activity (tentative, definite, lost, cancelled, and turned-away) weekly
- Enforce company policies and procedures as required
- Continuous personal and professional development and improvement
- Participate in planning and executing sales and marketing ideas and promotions
- Be available to provide assistance to operations when required
Qualification Requirements:
- Have a Bachelors degree or higher in a technical related field with 3+ years of experience in sales
- Have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees
- Understand and interpret blueprints
- Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while completing them in a timely fashion
- Have a basic understanding of CAD packages
