A-Line Staffing is now hiring Remote Prior Authorization (Utilization) Pharmacists. The Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week.

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $53.00 per hour

  • Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

  • A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on eligibility dates

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Highlights

  • Contract assignment with potential to convert based on performance, attendance, and business needs

  • Fully remote (work from anywhere in the continental U.S. except Colorado and New Mexico)

  • Training: October 27th – December 12th, 2025, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CST

  • Production Shifts (Sun–Thu or Tue–Sat):
    • 10:30am–7:00pm CST
    • 11:00am–7:30pm CST
    • 11:30am–8:00pm CST

  • Safety Sensitive Role

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Responsibilities

  • Conduct prior authorization reviews and make coverage determinations based on clinical criteria and plan design

  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, interpret guideline criteria, and consult with providers

  • Ensure timely communication of case decisions with physicians, patients, and health plans

  • Collaborate with technicians and PA team members to process referrals and resolve escalations

  • Maintain professional knowledge of drug and disease states across Specialty and Non-Specialty programs

  • Provide on-call after-hours pharmacist availability as needed

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and active pharmacist license in state of residence

  • Prior authorization (PA) or clinical case review experience in a production setting preferred

  • Proficiency in multitasking across multiple systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and clinical platforms

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for provider and patient interactions

  • Reliable broadband internet connection and smartphone required

  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

  • Experience with specialty or commercial pharmacy case review
