Full-Time AI/ML Engineer

**Location:** Puerto Rico (Preferred: Mayagüez) or Mainland US (Remote Eligible)

**Compensation:** $65,000–$80,000 (Puerto Rico); $75,000–$95,000 (Mainland US)

**Position Type:** Full-Time Employee (40 hours/week)

About the Role

We are hiring a Full-Time AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications at the intersection of healthcare and document automation. This professional role requires strong hands-on engineering expertise and the ability to deliver production-ready solutions. Projects will include developing intelligent applications that support personalized patient care, implementing document AI solutions, and building agentic AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Build AI solutions using LLMs, ML models, and RAG pipelines.

- Architect scalable workflows and integrate APIs/data.

- Full-stack engineering: React/TypeScript frontends + Python backends.

- Implement OCR, NLP, and compliance-driven document AI.

- Package/deploy solutions using Docker, cloud environments.

- Collaborate with domain experts for healthcare/government projects.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.

- 1–3 years of relevant work experience. - Proficiency in Python and React/TypeScript.

- Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).

- Exposure to RAG frameworks and vector databases.

Preferred Skills

- Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Document AI expertise (NER, summarization, classification).

- Healthcare compliance knowledge.

- Experience transitioning prototypes to production.
