Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Washington DC area, located approximately 45 minutes south in Stafford, VA. This is a contract assignment supporting K-12 schools within a public school district from January 5, 2026, through May 29, 2026. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday at 37.5 hours per week, with part-time candidates considered if they can commit to a minimum of 20 hours weekly.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language services primarily to elementary and middle school students, with caseloads typically around 50 students and never exceeding 55. Assignments generally involve working with no more than two schools at a time. Candidates without prior school experience will be considered, as placements are determined based on fit. Supervision is provided for Clinical Fellows; however, applicants must hold active Virginia SLP licensure and preferably have the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure required
- CCC certification preferred; Clinical Fellows considered with supervision provided
- Willingness to work across up to two school locations within the district
- Experience and comfort serving elementary and middle school populations
- No Department of Education (DOE) certification required
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) resumes may also be considered
