In addition to a wage based on education and experience, we offer a comprehensive benefits plan and reimbursement of expenses. A base salary will be complemented with a structured sales commission.

Details:

In the development of this territory, you will focus on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing the existing installed base of customers. To this end you will be responsible for selling lab instrumentation products and services to end-user customers through multichannel inbound and outbound sales activities. You will equally be responsible for generating quotations, managing key sales projects and tracking customer deliverables.

Key tasks include management of customer database tracking activities and proactively seeking out business opportunities via marketing communications or other creative business initiatives. The ability to quickly learn technical scientific product information and application knowledge is essential. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are equally required for working with customers. Some overnight business travel (<25%) or work outside office hours will be required.

Based in our Tempe office, you will work closely with both internal and partner resources to drive business growth. You will provide a quick response in the form of quotations and technical information and be expected to provide cross-selling or up-selling to the customer to drive sales.

  • Applicant must be a permanent resident (greencard holder) or US citizen
  • Some training and meetings may take place outside of the United States. The ability to obtain a valid passport will be a condition of employment.
  • Having a driver’s license and reliable vehicle in good repair will be a condition of employment.
  • This position will require proactive planning, cold-calling and face-to-face meetings with prospective clients.
  • The anticipated start for this position is as soon as possible

Education

  • College or university degree in a science field

Experience

  • Experience or theoretical knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopy is a strong asset
  • Hands-on experience with analytical lab instrumentation is desirable
  • B2B sales or customer service experience is a strong asset
  • Experience in a lab environment is an asset – environmental, forensic, oil/gas or university preferred
  • Should possess excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English
  • Microsoft Office suite experience is required
  • Telephone selling and cold calling skills are desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and to be very organized is essential
  • Good follow-up skills are required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Compensation Plan

  • KPrime Technologies is a pay-for-performance organization and all positions within the organization have some performance measure associated with its compensation
  • As a minimum, the base pay is comprised of 70% of the target compensation with sales commissions making up the difference to 100% of the target compensation.
  • Target compensation is defined as the sum of the base pay + commissions earned for 100% quota performance of all assigned quotas.
  • Total compensation is the sum of base salary and commissions which are paid out monthly. Commission rate is dependent on sales goal for period and adjusted on a 6-month interval. Total compensation target (base plus commission) is $70-80K annually for this position.
