ProCare Therapy is seeking flexible and compassionate Substitute Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to support a school district in Downingtown, PA. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to make an impact while maintaining a flexible schedule in a school-based setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Downingtown, PA
- Student Population: K–12
- Schedule: As-needed / flexible scheduling
- Hours: Opportunity for full-day or partial-day assignments based on district needs
- Compensation: $23/hr
- Contract:
- Current school year coverage
- Potential for ongoing or long-term opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the absence of regularly assigned staff
- Assist with daily living activities, mobility, and classroom participation
- Support behavioral and instructional goals under the direction of school staff
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms and student needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to varying assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and adaptable
