Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity places you at a renowned academic medical center, designated as a Level 1 trauma facility. Here you’ll collaborate with experts in a supportive, team-based environment known for its strong leadership and an inclusive culture. Working alongside Lead Therapists, you’ll encounter diverse patient needs across high-acuity medical and surgical units. This role lets you expand your clinical acumen by working with advanced technology and engaging in a fast-paced atmosphere. Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts: 18:30–07:00
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call; 75% of holidays worked
  • Flexible schedule every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a current NC license
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required for adult assignments
  • For NICU/Peds: PALS and NRP certifications also needed
  • Epic EMR proficiency and experience with advanced respiratory equipment preferred
  • CRT accepted, though RRT preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to a variety of patients (including ICU, NICU/Peds, and medical/surgical)
  • Assess patient needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Use specialized equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, Aerogen, and heated high-flow systems
  • Adapt based on changing unit needs and patient types
  • Contribute to an atmosphere fostering teamwork and professional development
