Position Overview:
The General Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of existing provider and account records. This role supports the onboarding department by processing account updates, managing provider changes, and resolving account-related issues. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure data security, prevent record discrepancies, and coordinate updates across departments to maintain smooth operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Maintenance and Data Entry:
- Assist with adding and removing providers, processing account updates, and updating documentation.
- Update provider privileges and state licenses, ensuring accuracy and authorization. Review accounts to prevent crossover errors and maintain secure data.
Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
- Ensure all account records are accurate and securely stored in Salesforce and other internal systems.
Communication and Coordination:
- Provide detailed updates and account information upon request from internal teams or clients.
- Communicate account changes to relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
Administrative Support:
- Resolve account errors and discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary.
- Update product offerings and account documentation as needed.
System Maintenance:
Utilize pharmacy and CRM systems to input and retrieve account data.
Report technical issues or inaccuracies to IT or the appropriate department.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in pharmacy, healthcare, or data management is preferred.
- Prior experience in account management, healthcare, or pharmacy operations is advantageous.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May require working shifts depending on pharmacy operating hours and business needs.
