Position Overview:

The HR Manager role provides support to the President & CEO. In this role, you should expect to be in a fast-paced work environment and be able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and personable individual who has conflict resolution skills and is open to change and challenges as they arise.


Responsibilities:

oRecruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

oCreate Employment Offer Letters, NDA’s and Separation Agreements.

oReview, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and responsible alcohol training.

oProcess onboarding including all pre-employment testing, drug screening, HRIS set-up, the online I-9 process and provide orientation for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies.

oPlan and organize annual performance reviews.

oMaintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions.

oDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures throughout the organization and the employee handbook according to Texas and other state laws.

oProcess employee queries and respond in a timely manner.

oStay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.

oAttend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

oSupport all departments when an intermediary or unbiased facilitator is needed.

oPerform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

oBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field is required.

oThree or more years experience in a similar role.

oAdditional certification (PHR) is a plus.

oStrong knowledge of labor legislation.

oFamiliarity with full-cycle recruiting.

oKnowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.

oHands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

oStrategical thinking and mindset to contribute effectively to the human resources department.

oExcellent verbal and written communication skills and good problem-solving abilities.

oExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

oExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

oMust be a team player who will work well in a small company environment with outstanding interpersonal skills and team management abilities.

oAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

oProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

oMay require frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
