Clayton Services is searching for an HR Assistant to join a thriving company in Spring, Texas. The HR Assistant will support the HR department's operations by performing various administrative tasks and assisting with payroll processes.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

HR Assistant Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and more for the HR and management staff
- Maintain files
- Prepare employment contracts, new hire paperwork, and meeting notes
- Greet and assist visitors
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new hires
- Maintain employee records
- Organize employee engagement and training events
- Assist with recruiting by posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Assist with collecting and verifying timesheets
- Enter payroll information into the payroll system
- Ensure timely processing of payroll
- Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and PTO
- Other duties as assigned
HR Assistant Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Computer proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
HR Assistant Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required; An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred
- A minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or HR experience is required
- Previous experience working with HRIS/payroll systems is a plus
