Overview
Job Title: Scanning Operator Level 1
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay: $16–$17/hr, depending on level of experience and quality of candidate
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations within a Digital Imaging Center, with a focus on digital imaging and document scanning activities.
- Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process.
- Inspect physical documents for quality issues that may impact the scanning process.
- Prepare a wide variety of document types and conditions for scanning.
- Index scanned images according to customer specifications and established naming conventions.
- Perform additional post-imaging services as required.
- Support print, finishing, and customer delivery services within the immediate Indianapolis area as needed.
- Maintain a high level of quality control to ensure customer specifications and contractual SLA requirements are met.
- Handle and manage large volumes of sensitive documents with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with team members to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
- Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and operational priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, office support, data entry, or administrative environment preferred.
- Prior experience with document scanning, imaging, records management, or digital imaging operations is a plus.
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential documentation preferred.
- Proven ability to maintain quality and accuracy in repetitive processing tasks.
Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Minimal to moderate physical effort required.
- Boxes may need to be lifted, moved, and sorted as needed.
- Frequent finger dexterity required for document preparation and scanning activities.
- Movement between scanning and processing machines required throughout the workday.
- Daily work requires strong focus, information comprehension, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Consistent attention to quality control and accuracy is critical.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
