Job DescriptionPosition Title: Administrative Assistant – Community Engagement
Location: Tigard, OR
Duration: Full-Time, Temporary (Starting August 1; Approximately 6 Months)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
May have the option to flex schedule for large weekend community events
Pay Rate: $23.71/hour
Introduction:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a mission-driven organization in Tigard, OR to hire a temporary Administrative Assistant. This role plays a vital part in supporting internal communications, event logistics, and public engagement initiatives. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys connecting with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics for public events such as safety fairs, open houses, and community tours
- Design and edit promotional materials, including flyers, newsletters, and presentations
- Maintain and update stakeholder contact databases
- Assist with internal communications through briefing tools and team updates
- Support content development for social media and digital platforms
- Track and order public education and event materials
- Assist with budget tracking and procurement tasks
- Provide general administrative support to media and outreach teams
- Serve as a collaborative liaison between internal teams and external partners
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
- High school diploma required; associate degree or advanced training preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in event planning, customer service, or digital communications is a plus
