Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Mixed shifts; rotating weekends
Compensation: $30.34 – $41.50/hr depending on years of experience
Sign-On / Relocation: Considered case by case

Job Description

Overview

Serve a busy Miami-Dade medical center near Doral, providing evidence-based respiratory therapy across adult and pediatric populations.

Responsibilities

  • Triage respiratory needs and deliver protocol-driven therapies

  • Set up/operate ventilators; perform weaning and spontaneous breathing trials

  • Perform diagnostics (ABGs, oximetry, capnography) and report results

  • Support airway procedures and maintain cuff pressures per policy

  • Educate patients/families on devices, inhaler technique, and discharge plans

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, equipment checks, and accurate EMR documentation

Qualifications

Required

  • RRT (NBRC) / RCP with Florida licensure or eligibility

  • BLS within 30 days of hire

  • Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Care

Preferred

  • Prior experience across ICU, ED, or step-down

  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications
