Summary

At Red Clover Children’s Center (RCCC), our mission is to create a joyful, respectful, and reflective learning environment where children, families, and educators grow together in the spirit of community, integrity, and service. We are seeking a caring, collaborative Early Childhood Educator to join our team and support the growth and development of young children in our program.

Duties

As an member of our team, you will work alongside co-teachers and colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. You are a key part of the teaching team—supporting children with compassion, consistency, and curiosity while fostering strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children.
  • Foster a sense of belonging and trust in the classroom.
  • Use positive, developmentally appropriate guidance and redirection.
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to design and deliver emergent, child-centered curriculum.
  • Support RCCC’s Reggio-inspired philosophy through documentation, observation, and reflection.
  • Build open and respectful communication with families.
  • Stay current with Vermont State Child Care Regulations and RCCC policies.
  • Engage in professional development (minimum of 15 hours annually) and maintain an active Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP).



Requirements

At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate (or GED).
Meets Vermont Teacher Assistant qualifications, which include one of the following:

  • Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or 2 Certificate, or
  • Current CDA and 12+ months of experience with children grade 3 or younger, or
  • State Board of Education–approved Human Services Program Certificate (child development/early childhood focus) and 12+ months experience, or
  • Completion of Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals or Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate plus 12+ months experience, or
  • 3 college credits in early childhood/school-age education plus 12+ months experience.
