Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift

Travel: Weekly travel to Bay City, MI required

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions for a multi-site operation, partnering closely with local leadership to support business objectives through effective HR strategies, employee relations, talent development, and compliance initiatives. This role requires a hands-on HR leader with strong labor relations experience and the ability to support multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Human Resources activities and partner with local leadership to ensure effective HR processes and procedures
  • Evaluate current and potential HR issues and develop strategic solutions aligned with workforce planning needs
  • Serve as a neutral party to mediate employee relations issues and balance conflicting viewpoints
  • Lead talent management initiatives, employee development programs, performance reviews, and annual compensation processes
  • Communicate benefit changes and manage Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) in collaboration with Compliance and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Support OFCCP audits by providing required HR data and documentation
  • Measure HR performance using HR scorecards and metrics to identify successes and areas for improvement
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on staffing strategies, hiring events, and workforce planning
  • Travel weekly between Flint and Bay City locations
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of HR experience and 3+ years of management experience
  • OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of HR experience and 4+ years of management experience
  • Union and labor relations experience strongly preferred
  • Strong employee relations, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience supporting compliance programs and HR reporting

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
