A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Buffalo, NY, providing therapy services three days per week at a single school site within a K-5th grade setting. This role offers the chance to work with a dynamic caseload under a supportive district that values indirect hours and paid team meetings for administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Provide therapy three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Utilize the districts IEP system with training provided to ensure compliance and effective documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and complete necessary administrative responsibilities during indirect hours.
- Engage in itinerant work, with paid travel provided between locations as required.
- Collaborate with district staff and supervisors to align therapy services with educational goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid NY SLP license is required.
- Experience or credentials in school-based speech-language pathology.
- Comfort working within caseload or workload models is preferred.
- Ability to deliver therapy services in both direct and indirect formats.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators.
- Familiarity with teletherapy services is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Candidates with SLP-CCC, CFY, and pediatric experience are encouraged to apply.
