Position Summary:
A Fiberglass Roller applies liquid resin and catalyst to fiberglass on molds, using rollers to eliminate air bubbles and ensure proper saturation, laminating layers to achieve desired thickness.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Apply resin and fiberglass to molds, using rollers to remove air and smooth seams.
· Mix catalysts into resins and apply to mats.
· Inspect parts for air pockets, bubbles, or structural defects.
· Cut excess fiberglass, trim, and finish parts, often using power tools.
· Wearing PPE (respirators, protective clothing) is required and maintain a clean work environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to bend at waist, knees and stand for extended periods of time
· Must be able to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary
· Must follow all safety standard and procedures, including chemical handling standards and Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Knowledge of fiberglass layup, laminating techniques, and reading
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Individual must have a High School diploma or equivalent
· Ability to use specialty hand and electric tools
· 1-2 years of related manufacturing related experience
· Accurate measurement capabilities
