ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Efficient with painting equipment and procedures to meet company standards
  • Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes and power tools common to the welding trade
  • Ideally have some knowledge in welding
  • Responsible to maintain paper work organized and up to date
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor as needed
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
  • Layout, position, align and secure parts prior to painting
  • Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing his/her job function
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Responsible for following quality standards and inspects parts for quality before and after painting
  • Perform other duties as assigned including the ability to cross train in other areas of the plant

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must be willing to operate a forklift in safe and efficient with the ability to obtain a certification
  • Respirator certified and able to pass respirator certification test annually
  • Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of the plant/business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous history of consistent attendance with the ability to be to work on time on daily basis
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
    1. stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
    2. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    3. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
    4. Work in extreme cold and heat; and/or wet and humid conditions
    5. Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
