Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Canvassers. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with community members through door-to-door outreach, promoting our energy-saving initiatives, and gathering valuable feedback. This position is ideal for those who are self-starters, motivated to work hard because you know effort is rewarded.
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing to engage with residents and promote our mission.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to share information and gather support.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to foster positive interactions with community members.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and feedback from community members.
- Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach efforts and improve effectiveness.
- You aren't selling anything. You would be simply inviting Utahns to voluntarily participate in an energy saving program through a Rocky Mtn. Power. If people participate, RMP actually pays THEM $30 for the summer. It's the easiest "sale." because they aren't buying anything.
- Choose your own hours! Work whenever you want and for however long.
Requirements
- Bilingual candidates are highly preferred to enhance communication with diverse populations.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or fundraising is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with the public on a regular basis.
- A positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
- Minimum of 3 hours a week but you can choose anything above that- the more you work, the more money you make!
