Position Title: Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Tucson, AZ (85745)
Assignment Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Duration: 15 Weeks
Compensation: $85 – $90 per hour
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an exciting job in Tucson, AZ.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and related disorders

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with IDEA guidelines
-
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
-
Address articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and AAC needs as appropriate
-
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, audiologists, and multidisciplinary team members
-
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, evaluations, and billing records (if applicable)
-
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings
-
Provide consultation and strategies to staff and families to support communication across settings
-
Adapt therapy approaches to support students with hearing loss, visual impairments, and other disabilities

Ensure compliance with school policies, ethical standards, and professional guidelines
-
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment
-
Participate in ongoing professional development and required training

Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:
-
Experience providing speech-language services in a school or pediatric setting
-
Strong understanding of speech and language development and related disorders
-
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance standards

Ability to work effectively with students with diverse needs and abilities
-
Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
-
Professional, flexible, and student-focused approach
Preferred Experience:
-
Experience working with students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or visually impaired
-
School-based or special education experience
-
Familiarity with AAC systems and assistive technology
Education & Licensure Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Current Arizona SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellowship eligible
