Our organization is currently in search of a Pediatric Physiatrist to join the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. This is a part-time role, requiring 32 hours of work each week. The selected candidate may also receive a faculty appointment with the affiliated medical school, depending on their qualifications, experience, and credentials.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is mandatory.
- A fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation is required.
- A valid and unrestricted Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in New York is essential, along with a current DEA license.
Responsibilities and Expectations
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Manage the outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic and the pediatric brace clinic, including administering Botox injections.
- Conduct inpatient consultations and supervise adult bedside consultations as necessary.
- Primarily work at Elmhurst Hospital Center for three days a week and also provide services at Queens Hospital Center for one day.
