Job Description

Our organization is currently in search of a Pediatric Physiatrist to join the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. This is a part-time role, requiring 32 hours of work each week. The selected candidate may also receive a faculty appointment with the affiliated medical school, depending on their qualifications, experience, and credentials.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is mandatory.
A fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation is required.
A valid and unrestricted Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license to practice in New York is essential, along with a current DEA license.

Responsibilities and Expectations

The selected candidate will be expected to:

Manage the outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic and the pediatric brace clinic, including administering Botox injections.
Conduct inpatient consultations and supervise adult bedside consultations as necessary.
Primarily work at Elmhurst Hospital Center for three days a week and also provide services at Queens Hospital Center for one day.
