Core responsibilities

  • Pass and maintain certification through the Welder Qualification Test.
  • Read and interpret blueprints; follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Use measuring tools accurately to verify tolerances and specification compliance.
  • Operate overhead cranes to position and secure parts prior to welding.
  • Adjust machine settings for proper weld configurations.
  • Heat, form, and weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Assemble and weld metal components with precision.
  • Clean finished welds using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns.
  • Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and 6S procedures; maintain careful attention to detail.
  • Contribute effectively both independently and within a team; cross-train across production areas.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Minimum qualifications

  • Ability to wear a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • In-person, on-site, regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working conditions

  • Manufacturing/production environment; potential exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods; repetitive motions; lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained; bending, kneeling, climbing; and using tools/equipment.
  • PPE must be worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity needed for safe operation and effective communication.
