Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain multiple CNC machines. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of troubleshooting equipment to ensure optimal performance and part quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and/or Mills simultaneously in a production environment.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Monitor machining operations and perform routine quality checks using precision measuring tools.
- Identify and resolve machine or part issues to reduce downtime and scrap rates.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-machine setups.
- Basic knowledge of G-code and machine offsets.
- Previous manufacturing experience in a high-volume shop.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position. Day shift: 8hrs M-F & Evening Shift: 10hrs M-Th
- Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and exposure to moderate industrial noise.
