Who We Are

At The Faith Babirye Veterinary Surgery and Diagnostics Center, we believe every pet deserves access to high-quality, advanced care—regardless of circumstance. We specialize in orthopedic procedures like TPLO, complex fracture repair, and a wide range of soft tissue surgeries, all performed with skill, precision, and purpose. Our surgical and diagnostic suite is equipped with advanced imaging technologies including CT scanning, digital radiography, and C-arm fluoroscopy, enabling real-time intraoperative visualization that enhances outcomes and elevates care.

We’re proud of the work we do, the families we support, and the lives we change—and we’re ready to welcome someone who shares our passion.

The Role: Make a Difference Every Day

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician who thrives in a high-caliber surgical environment and finds purpose in supporting meaningful, life-changing care. If you’re energized by complexity, value precision, and want to work alongside a skilled and mission-driven team—this is your opportunity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including TPLOs, fracture repairs, and advanced soft tissue surgeries

  • Perform surgical prep: clipping, scrubbing, catheter placement, and endotracheal intubation

  • Monitor patients under anesthesia using advanced monitoring tools (ECG, SpO₂, ETCO₂, BP, Temp)

  • Provide attentive post-operative care: pain monitoring, bandaging, and recovery support

  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment

  • Support advanced diagnostics, including CT scans, C-arm fluoroscopy, and digital radiographs

  • Assist with contrast studies, patient positioning, and low-stress handling techniques

  • Collect and process laboratory samples (CBC, chemistries, urinalysis, etc.)

  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and monitor surgical inpatients

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and patient logs

  • Educate and support clients with clear, compassionate discharge instructions

  • Help manage inventory for surgical and diagnostic supplies

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in surgical or specialty care preferred

  • Competent in anesthesia monitoring and surgical patient support

  • Comfortable operating advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment

  • Reliable, collaborative, and professional team player

  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in a dynamic setting

  • Willing to assist with weekend or on-call shifts when needed

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience

  • Continuing education allowance to support your growth

  • Scrub allowance to keep you equipped and comfortable

  • Employee discounts on veterinary care

  • A supportive, purpose-driven work culture that values your contributions and development
