About the Role:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Park Manor Tomball, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate and high-quality nursing care to our residents. Your primary focus will be to support the healthcare team by providing direct patient care, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting with medical procedures under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. You will ensure that each resident's physical and emotional needs are met, promoting their comfort and well-being in a respectful and dignified manner. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Ultimately, your contributions will help maintain a safe, supportive, and healing environment for all residents in our care facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid and current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated ability to perform nursing duties in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
- Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
- Strong familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to facility protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in residents’ health status, reporting any concerns promptly to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with nursing best practices and regulatory requirements.
