Job Title: Lab Technician / Model Maker / Machinist

Location: Ashland City, TN

Type: Full-time, hands-on role

Aegis is partnered with a manufacturer in the Ashland City, TN area and they are looking for a skilled model maker or machinist to support their engineering teams with prototype building, testing, and data collection. This person will use equipment like lathes, mills, and welding tools to build test units and components, then help set up and run lab tests to evaluate product performance. They’ll work independently to interpret instructions, test prototypes, gather results, and write reports.

Ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of machining, model making, or metalworking experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Ability to read technical drawings and follow test procedures

• Comfortable using tools like lathes, mills, and welders

• Some lab testing and data analysis/reporting experience

• Familiar with SolidWorks, LabView, or similar (a plus, not required)

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on building and testing, especially with a background in machining, prototyping, or technical labs.
