Location: Hobbs, New Mexico

Schedule: Block scheduling with 1:1 patient ratios. On-call required 1-2 weekday shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts per month. Weekends as needed with commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays.
Highlights:
- Surgical specialties include orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatry procedures
- Work in a 61-bed short-term acute care facility with 5 operating rooms and daily census of 5-6 cases
- Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, radiology, and pharmacy
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio ensuring focused, quality care delivery
- Free parking and professional navy scrubs provided
- Diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in OR procedures including laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacements, trauma cases, C-sections, orthopedic surgeries, and general surgical procedures
- Competency with administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation, and starting peripheral IVs
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Clean background check required
