Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Tele RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Registered Nurse is sought to provide exceptional care in an Intermediate Telemetry Unit located in Warren, OH. This 13-week contract role requires proficiency in telemetry nursing, with a focus on cardiac and respiratory patients. Candidates must hold current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications, along with at least one year of nursing experience, preferably including acute care hospital experience. A Dysrhythmia Exam is mandatory, supported by a study guide.
Position Highlights:
- 17-bed Unit with 10 current openings
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management (heparin, cardizem, amio, nitro, insulin titration)
- Care for cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, and post-op patients
- Support from PCA staff and phlebotomy services
- Charge RN roles available with varying patient assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications safely according to state and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
- Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage complex cases including multi-system organ failure and acute trauma
- Utilize electronic health records and telemetry systems confidently
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Credentialed in CCRN, PCCN, or NIH Stroke Certification a plus
- Proficient with EPIC EHR and critical care practices
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing conditions
