The Child and Family Wellness Center (TCFWC) and Unlimited Behavioral Health Services’ (UBHS) mission is to celebrate and nurture cultural well-being by centering families from diverse backgrounds. We do this through in-home therapy, therapeutic mentoring, and outpatient counseling services. We look to strengthen family dynamics and individual welfare. Job Summary:
We are excited to offer internship opportunities to students pursuing their Master’s degrees in Social Work or Counseling. Interns at TCFWC will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. They will work alongside experienced clinicians, engage in direct client care, and participate in community-based initiatives. Our internship program is designed to provide students with comprehensive training in clinical practice, cultural competence, and community-based mental health services. Internships are available in person at the following locations across Massachusetts : Boston, Saugus, Springfield, Attleboro, Leominster, Norwood, Brockton.
Requirements:
- Diverse Clinical Settings: Interns will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including in-home therapy, school-based services, and outpatient therapy.
- Culturally Competent Practice: We emphasize culturally responsive care, preparing interns to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Comprehensive Supervision: Interns will receive consistent and thorough supervision from licensed professionals committed to their professional growth.
- Community Engagement: Our partnerships with local organizations offer interns the chance to engage with the community and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Expansive Service Areas: With offices in multiple locations and services provided in schools, interns will experience a broad range of clinical scenarios and client needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and pursuing Master’s degrees in Social Work or Counseling
- Experience working with youth and families in community settings
- Commitment to evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license
- Comfort with technology and electronic documentation
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced and dynamic field setting
Employment Type:
- In-person Full and Part-Time Hours available, Hours: 8 AM - 8 AM, 20+ hours per week, Monday to Friday.
