Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position within a K-12 educational setting located in Irving, TX. The role is a contract position lasting for the entire school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to support speech-language pathologists in delivering therapeutic services to K-12 students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Monitor and document student progress during therapy sessions
- Provide direct support to students to improve communication skills
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
