Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time, full-year occupational therapy position is available within a school setting located in Peyton, CO. This on-site role supports students in achieving their developmental and educational goals through specialized therapeutic interventions. Candidates with experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will be considered, provided there is an OT on staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to enhance student outcomes
- Implementing therapeutic interventions designed to improve students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports as required by regulatory and school guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary planning efforts
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certification as a COTA with preference when paired with a supervising OT
- Experience working within a school-based setting, supporting children with diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and educators
- Knowledge of pediatric OT interventions and educational regulations
