Pharmacy Manager – Home Infusion
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and operational staff.
- Foster a culture focused on quality, accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing pharmacy professionals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional growth for team members.
Drive Pharmacy Operations
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding, dispensing, inventory management, and clinical pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with operational and distribution teams to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain oversight of staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to support organizational goals.
- Help guide pharmacy operations toward achieving key performance, service, and growth objectives.
Support Clinical Excellence
- Maintain expertise in infusion therapies, pharmacotherapy, and sterile compounding best practices.
- Provide clinical support and consultation as needed to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to optimize therapy outcomes and patient experiences.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards, therapies, and regulatory requirements.
Champion Quality and Compliance
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives across pharmacy operations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts designed to enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
- Participate in management meetings, departmental planning, and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to Organizational Growth
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives when appropriate.
- Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, growth strategies, and long-term organizational objectives.
- Serve as a trusted leader and resource within the branch and broader organization.
- You take ownership of outcomes and are passionate about delivering exceptional care and service.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
- Five or more years of pharmacy operations and clinical experience within home infusion.
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding, infusion therapies, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Previous leadership or management experience overseeing pharmacy personnel and operations.
- Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
