Job DescriptionTitle: Sanitation SupervisorLocation: Brook Park, OHHire Type: Direct-hire, OnsiteSchedule: Thursday – Sunday, 6:00am – 4:30pmTarget Pay Range: $115,000 - $140,000/year, plus bonus potentialBenefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical/Dental/Vision Plans, 401(k) Job Summary:The Sanitation Supervisor leads a team in maintaining key sanitation, food safety, quality, and regulatory programs in support of a 24-hour dry mix operation. This position will supervise all Sanitation programs for the facility. The Sanitation Supervisor will provide back-up support to lead production and meet or exceed operational requirements provided by the Production Manager.Job Duties:

  • Design, implement, and verify facility Sanitation and 5S programs are meeting internal and external expectations. Support plant sanitation by performing inspections and managing swab and sample programs to ensure sanitation and environmental monitoring programs are effective.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety Pre-requisite Programs, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Chemical Procedures, through routine auditing.
  • Cultivate employee trust, entrepreneurial spirit, and goal orientation. Motivate, support and coach employees to become self-directed.
  • Create and lead teams of employees to improve sanitation and minimize equipment failures, reduce setup time, and improve throughputs and yields.
  • Train FSQA team, general helper operators, and other plant personnel as needed.
  • Provide backup supervisor coverage during planned vacations and emergency absences.
  • Ensure proper administration of the collective bargaining agreement. Resolve labor grievances and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure each employee receives and understands required training and identify additional training as the need arises.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sanitation experience in a food production environment
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation programs, particularly dry sanitation.
  • PCQI certification.
  • Well-developed communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build professional relationships while facilitating a collaborative environment
  • Proficient reading, writing, and communication skills with well-developed Microsoft Office expertise
  • Ability to leverage information to develop insightful business judgment to ensure food safety and compliance
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels in a diverse environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
