Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Neuropsychiatric & Counseling Associates is a collaborative and growing practice with three PMHNPs and one counselor. We're seeking a fully licensed PMHNP who can practice independently while enjoying the support of an experienced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
- Provide medication management, including the administration of psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Engage in telehealth consultations as needed to enhance patient access to care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Experience
Candidates should have a robust clinical background, including but not limited to the following skills:
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and psychopharmacology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation procedures.
- Experience working in psychiatric hospital units and outpatient psychiatric practices.
- Background in geriatrics, pediatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
