Salary: $26.40 – $39.60/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: Available

Overview

An established acute care hospital is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join a high-performing Intensive Care Unit. The ICU cares for medical, surgical, cardiac, and trauma patients in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The ideal nurse is compassionate, clinically strong, and comfortable managing critically ill patients with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality critical care in a fast-paced ICU environment

  • Monitor and assess ventilated patients and those receiving vasoactive drips

  • Interpret and manage continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring

  • Serve as a patient advocate ensuring safety, dignity, and confidentiality

  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with policies

  • Participate in rapid response and code situations

  • Adhere to infection control, quality, and patient safety standards

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active RN license (FL or compact)

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred (many candidates pursuing accepted)

  • 1+ year of recent ICU or critical care experience required

  • Strong proficiency with:

    • Ventilator management

    • Arterial lines & central lines

    • Vasoactive infusion titration

    • Advanced cardiac monitoring

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)

Preferred (Highly Competitive for ICU):

  • 2–5+ years of ICU experience in a Level II Trauma or high-acuity facility

  • CCRN, PCCN, or other critical care specialty certification

  • Experience with:

    • Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)

    • Invasive hemodynamic monitoring

    • Post-op cardiac or trauma care

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure

  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
