Client Partnership: Talent Xpanse is partnering with a dynamic organization seeking a Senior Accountant (or Accountant ready for the next step) to become an integral part of the business and a visible contributor to the leadership team. The Senior Accountant or Accountant will work closely with leadership, bringing both technical expertise and a forward-thinking perspective to the organization’s accounting operations. This role operates at the intersection of hands-on execution, accounting accuracy, optimization, with an emphasis supporting accounting operations contributing to reporting and overall successful business performance.

Role Overview: The Senior Accountant is a high value owner of accounting functions while supporting broader accounting. financial, and reporting. This individual will bring a hands-on, detail-oriented approach while also contributing to process improvements, KPI development, and financial insights that support business decision-making. Core Responsibilities:
- Accounting Operations & Close Management
- Own general ledger integrity and support the month-end close process
- Bank reconciliations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Monitor daily banking activity and ensure accurate transaction recording
- Maintain and optimize the chart of accounts
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows
- Calculate and reconcile inter-office allocations and charges
- Partner with internal stakeholders
- Improve AR aging performance
- Track collection efforts and outcomes
- Strengthen visibility into revenue cycle efficiency and gaps
Accounting Management & Business Insights:
- Collaborate on revenue reports
- Monthly hours/utilization reporting
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers
- Contribute to forecasting and annual budgeting processes
- Account for Payroll & Benefits as needed
- Support process payroll and manage benefit deductions as needed
Ensure compliance with:
- GAAP accounting
- 1099 reporting
- Sales and use tax requirements
- Vendor onboarding and documentation
Systems, Controls & Process Optimization:
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and SOP documentation
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
- Work with external CPA as needed
- Support Annual tax preparation
- Financial compliance and reporting alignment
What Success measures may include:
- Month-end close accuracy and timelines
- Identify at least 2–3 process improvement opportunities across accounting operations
- Build strong working relationships operational leaders
Essentials (Qualifications & Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7+ years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of:
- General ledger accounting
- Financial reporting
- Reconciliation processes
- Experience supporting month-end close and audit preparation
- Exposure to payroll, compliance, and multi-entity environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, reconciliation)
- Experience with accounting systems/ERP platforms

CompensationThe projected annual salary is estimated at $80,000 – $95,000, representing the range. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and overall alignment with the role determined by the client.

Compensation:
The projected annual salary is estimated at $90,000 - $95,000 per year, representing the low and high ends of the range. The offered compensation may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience, and overall alignment with the role determined by the client.
