Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will have the opportunity to operate roll formers and polishing lathes to create metal seals, including both small and large seals. Additionally, you may be involved in TIG welding and quality assurance inspection, ensuring the production of high-quality metal bands for aerospace applications.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll formers and polishing lathes to produce metal seals.
- Load sheet metal bands onto roll-formers and use a foot pump to run the machine.
- Inspect parts as they are manufactured, repeating processes approximately every 10 seconds.
- Polish seals with sandpaper either manually or using a machine.
- Work in the shearing department to cut metal for welders.
- For MO II, measure large seals up to 8ft in diameter using pi-tape and calipers.
- Assist in machine setup and tool adjustments, and perform calculations down to the thousandth decimal place.
- Operate semi-automatic TIG welders to weld metal strips into bands.
- Align seams and press buttons for machine welding processes.
- Inspect welds and final checks using magnifiers, depth gauges, and calipers.
- Verify thickness and dimensions of metal bands.
- Read job travelers to determine inspection requirements and provide approval stamps.
- Conduct data entry and use Microsoft Excel.
- Adhere to aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100 & ISO 9001).
Essential Skills
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Aptitude for math and basic counting skills.
- Experience with measuring tools such as calipers.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes.
- Good ability to read instructions and follow directions efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100 & ISO 9001) is preferred.
- Enjoys simple, light, and repetitive work.
- Ability to manipulate and handle small parts.

Work Environment
Our work environment is centered around producing engineered metallic seals for jet engines and other aerospace applications. It consists of three buildings, each dedicated to different production needs. Enjoy a clean and well-lit setting with light duty work, primarily seated positions, and the ability to wear headphones. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.25/hr.
