In this role, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.

What Youll Do
- Support a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes childrens physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson planning, curriculum implementation, documentation, and daily classroom activities
- Provide positive guidance and build strong relationships that support childrens learning and family engagement
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain routines that support healthy habits, including nutrition and self-care practices
- Serve as Lead Teacher in their absence, helping coordinate and manage daily classroom operations
- Maintain communication with families and staff while ensuring confidentiality, completing required trainings, and following mandated reporting responsibilities
What Were Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must enroll in a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program (to be completed within 2 years of hire)
- CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
- Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with children and families
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with initiative and sound judgment
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children in an early learning setting
