Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a K-12 school setting in Renton, WA. This role is designed to cover a leave of absence and will continue through the end of November, offering approximately 20 hours per week. The opportunity is ideal for an experienced SLP aiming to support students with speech and language needs in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student development
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related therapy techniques
- Ability to effectively manage caseload and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
