Job Summary
Provides compassionate, high‑quality care to long‑term care residents, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety. Supports individualized care plans, collaborates with nursing staff, and promotes a positive living environment. Plays a key role in enhancing resident well‑being and overall satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, resident‑centered care.
• Clear background check; compliance with state/federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing.
• Dementia care training or CPR instructor certification.
• EHR proficiency; strong communication skills.
• Multilingual abilities.
• Prior recognition for outstanding resident care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding while maintaining dignity.
• Monitor and document resident health status; report changes promptly.
• Support mobility and exercise routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Engage residents with empathy to support emotional well‑being.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and families.
Skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong observational skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for resident care tasks.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Preferred: EHR proficiency and specialized LTC training.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.
• Assist with resident transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics.
• Manual dexterity for personal care tasks and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
