Aerotek's client is looking for a Construction Laborer to join their team in the Halethorpe, MD area
Job Description
- You will play a crucial role in the restoration and remodeling of commercial buildings affected by water, smoke, and fire damage.
- You will use specialized equipment such as large vacuums, air blowers, heat fans, and hydraulic cement, while also replacing drywall to assess and repair damage.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the restoration and remodeling of water-damaged commercial buildings.
- Operate large vacuums, air blowers, heat fans, and hydraulic cement for restoration purposes.
- Replace drywall from the ground up to check for damage and ensure proper restoration.
- Collaborate with a team to demo, restore, replace, and mitigate any damage in affected properties.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction labor and carpentry, particularly in restoration and interior restoration.
- Knowledge of drywall and general labor skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 6 months or more experience in the restoration industry is preferred, but not required.
- Mechanical or carpentry aptitude is a plus.
- Willingness to work in water-damaged and potentially dirty environments.
- Ability to work on-call, including nights and weekends.

Work Environment
- The work environment is commercial, covering areas from the DC line up to Baltimore. You will work in damaged properties impacted by water, smoke, or fire, as part of a team. Typical hours are from 6am to 4pm, but flexibility for weekend and overnight work is required as needed.
Qualified candidates will be given a call within 8 hours of submitting an application

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halethorpe, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
