Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment with variable shifts based on facility needs
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license, eligible to practice in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year recent PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Prior experience in a cardiac or spine care environment is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Monitor post-surgical patients, assessing vital signs and response to anesthesia
- Manage pain control and address post-anesthesia complications
- Educate patients and families about post-surgical care
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately
