A leading pharmacy in Clearwater, FL is seeking two skilled Pharmacy Technicians for a 13-week contract position. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with retail pharmacy experience looking for a fast placement and a dynamic work environment. Location:
- Clearwater, FL
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Process prescriptions, manage insurance claims, and resolve rejections promptly.
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
- Enter prescription data accurately and maintain clear communication with patients and prescribers.
- Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restock supplies, and review expiration dates.
- Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction procedures.
- Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support team needs.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; candidates must confirm highest education level during qualification.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) and Florida pharmacy tech license in good standing highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy technician experience (call center experience a plus); hospital experience not suitable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable making phone calls.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, prescribers, and internal teams.
