Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the management of nursing operations and staff within the facility.

- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing care.

- Monitor patient care and outcomes, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.

- Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, patients, and families to ensure quality care.

- Assist in budget management and resource allocation for the nursing department.

- Stay current with best practices in nursing and healthcare management.


Skills and Qualifications:

-- Previous experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.

- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and standards of care.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.

Requirements:

  • A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Current CPR certification.
