Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders capable of passing a weld test and meeting all requirements. The ideal candidate will operate overhead cranes safely, adjust weld configurations, and perform welding in various positions. Proficiency in heating and forming metal parts using hand tools, torches, or welding equipment is essential, along with the ability to accurately operate measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Pass a weld test and meet all necessary requirements.
• Operate overhead cranes in a safe manner.
• Adjust weld configurations as needed.
• Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torches, or welding equipment.
• Weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as required.
• Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
• Assemble and weld various metal parts together.
• Properly position materials/parts to be welded.
• Train and work in various production areas in response to production demands.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions, including the ability to read blueprints.
• Maintain attention to detail.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Skills

• Experience in welding, blueprint reading, production welding, and fabrication.
• Proficiency in grinding, fitting, and assembly.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
• MIG, TIG, and stick welding skills.
• 6+ months of welding experience through education or work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma is a plus.
• 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Possession of a welding certificate through an educational institution.

Work Environment

The welding department consists of 300 employees, with plans to expand to 400. The work involves production welding, focusing on the same parts daily, which can be repetitive. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toe shoes, and a clean work shirt.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Connellsburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47320.00 - $54912.00/yr.

Sign On Bonus: Eligible for FULL TIME employees (Contractors would be eligible upon conversion) $1,500 Total $500 @ 3 months of employment $500 @ 6 months of employment $500 @ 12 months of employment Candidates who work Sundays will receive Double Time!
