Job Location: Big Cypress National Preserve Headquarters Complex, Ochopee, FL

Duration: From Present to September 2026

CMR qualification Required:

1. Technological Knowledge and abilities such as:

a. Ability to effectively utilize the required hardware/software and access the internet to perform responsibilities outlined in this SOS.

b. Ability to use software to create/edit documents, record meetings, make calls, and share screens such as, but not limited to: MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, ProjectTeam, Primavera, MS Project, and any other software programs typically utilized for construction management services.

2. Physical Abilities: Ability to walk and climb stairs or ladders on a daily basis to observe and inspect contract performance.

3. Technical Knowledge and abilities such as:

a. Ability to read, interpret, and understand the Construction Contract Plans and Specifications.

b. Have knowledge of similar construction work so that the CMR can observe, document, and confirm conformance to the contract plans and specifications.

c. Have completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training. Possess knowledge in construction practices including applicable building codes and safety regulations; ability to facilitate, understand, and document pre-inspections; inspections during construction; post construction inspections; and mock-ups inspections.

d. The ability to understand and evaluate cost estimates and proposals broken down, at a minimum, to prime and subcontractor labor, equipment, materials, overhead, and profit. The ability to define and document scope changes requested by the CO or a result of a differing site condition. The ability to understand and document negotiations between the CO and the Construction Contractor for the technical scope requirements and prime and subcontractor labor, equipment, material, overhead, and profit. Ability to understand and interpret the construction schedule to evaluate and document progress. Ability to evaluate payment requests as they relate to percentages/dollars/activities – services received by the Government for which payment may be made.

4. Work experience including a minimum of five (5) years of relevant construction and/or engineering work experience demonstrating knowledge and experience in construction management; project coordination and communication; applying and enforcing engineering codes, permit requirements and contract documents; inspection of construction work; performing schedule and cost breakdown estimating, analyses and negotiating and technical writing.
