In this role, you will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized by a State regulatory board to prescribe treatments and medications, or under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will be accountable for the care provided to your assigned patients, ensuring coordination with other departments. Upholding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality of patient information are essential. Your responsibilities will align with our mission, values, and service standards.
Position Details:Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program is required; equivalent educational experience and successful licensure may also be considered.
- Licensure: You must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state where you will perform nursing duties, adhering to all State Board of Nursing regulations.
- Physical Requirements: The role involves standing and walking for most of the shift, along with significant bending, stooping, and the ability to lift and turn patients with assistance. You should be able to push, pull, and grip weights up to 50 pounds.
- Experience: Both new and seasoned LPNs are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
Note: Depending on the specific position or unit, additional certifications may be required within a designated timeframe, including:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- Other unit-specific certifications as necessary
