Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver exceptional orthopedic nursing care on the night shift at a well-established hospital known for advanced specialty services and compassionate patient treatment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work a flexible schedule with either 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week on a busy orthopedic unit caring for post-trauma and surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for orthopedic inpatients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional accountability in nursing practice aligned with mission and service standards.
- Assist with patient mobility including lifting and turning with appropriate support.
- Utilize EMR (Epic) system for documentation and coordination of care.
- Adapt to floating requirements to similar or lower acuity units as needed.
- Participate in orientation, including day shift orientation prior to night shift start.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
- Minimum 2 years inpatient orthopedic nursing experience required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Ability to work every other weekend and comply with flu vaccination policy November through April.

Shift & Schedule:
- Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
